Freedom Ball
A campaign challenging the way that Hong Kong parks were designed and managed, that led to the opening up of green public spaces for use by Hong Kong people.
Rather than proposing design solutions the project created guerrilla interventions in public spaces that encouraged park users to question the ways that the park was designed, managed and regulated. This eventually led to community workshops bringing together park users and park management that resulted in changes to park regulations, signage and management practices. It also led to a commitment to prioritising public access to green spaces in parks, ensuring that green public spaces were unfenced and accessible.
